Front Desk

This job is the pulse of the Humane Society.  We rely on front desk volunteers to project a warm, friendly image.  Visitors that are greeted and helped in a prompt and cheerful way are more likely to come back and recommend the humane society to their friends and neighbors.

Duties:

  • Welcome visitors
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Sell Spay/Neuter certificates as requested by customer
  • Escort potential adopters and help match with animal they are seeking
  • Process adoption paperwork in computer
  • Sell gift shop items
  • Take monetary and non-monetary donations and process receipts in computer

 

Qualifications:

  • Computer literate
  • Ability to learn and understand cash register
  • Ability to learn and understand credit card processing
  • Ability to learn and understand  adoption paperwork and spay/neuter paperwork
  • Be dependable
  • Be willing to adhere to policies and procedures
