The Oconee Society  is a private charitable corporation organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina. As such, the Humane Society relies on grants, gifts, donations and bequeaths to provide financial support. Beyond pure financial support, the Humane Society also depends on a corps of dedicated animal loving volunteers who provide us with most of the labor to make the organization function.

If you have some time on your hands and would like to spend it with others who have taken up the cause, please contact our volunteer coordinator for an application and interview. If you have expertise in any particular area of sales, marketing, computers, web-based business, graphic design, fund raising, etc. please give us a call. Even if you have no expertise in the areas above, we always have a need for all sorts of tasks in helping organize fund drives, collecting donations, selling event tickets; the list is endless but so are the rewards.
