Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Voucher

street cats need to be spay/neutered

The Oconee Humane Society, in partnership with local veterinarians, offers an affordable way for every Oconee County resident to be able to spay/neuter their pets and help end pet overpopulation. Low-cost spay/neuter vouchers can be purchased at the Oconee Humane Society Adoption Center, 1925 Sandifer Blvd. From there, it is as simple as making an appointment at one of the participating veterinarians and then bringing the voucher to the appointment. The voucher covers the cost for routine surgery only. Extra charges for complications (pregnancy, in heat, retained testicles) are the pet owner’s responsibility.

There are NO income requirements for this program, however, it is limited to Oconee County residents only.

The vouchers are valid for six months and there is no limit to the number that can be purchased.

FACT

A single dog or cat and her female offspring will produce over 4,000 offspring in 7 years.

You can help reduce these numbers by spaying and neutering your pets. It is the only way we can reduce pet overpopulation in Oconee County.

Please be a responsible pet owner and spay/neuter!
