Beyond pure financial support, the Humane Society depends on a corps of dedicated animal loving volunteers who provide us with most of the labor to make the organization function. If you are 17 or older with some time on your hands and would like to spend it with others who have taken up the cause, we would very much appreciate your help. Following are some areas in which we can use assistance; click on them to learn more:
If you would like to volunteer, orientation sessions are held the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month @ 10:30am at the shelter. Sessions last about 1.5 hours. Please send a note to volunteer@oconeehumane.org to let us know you're coming so we can confirm the session or if you have any questions. If this time is not convenient, we're happy to work with your schedule. |
