Oconee Humane Society (OHS) depends on a corps of dedicated volunteers to make our mission possible. If you are interested in volunteering, then please review the following requirements prior to completing the online application. Please note that volunteers are accepted on a case by case basis.

Requirements to volunteer at OHS are as follows:

  • OHS asks that volunteers are able to make a two hour minimum commitment to serve the animals in our care at least once per week.
  • OHS does not fulfill court mandated or pre-trial intervention community service hours. For more information regarding these types of volunteering please contact Oconee County Animal Shelter at 864-888-0221.
  • Volunteers are required to attend an orientation prior to volunteering.
